  One core aspect of immersive visualization labs is to develop and provide powerful tools and applications that allow for efficient analysis and exploration of scientific data. As the requirements for such applications are often diverse and complex, the same applies to the development process. This has led to a myriad of different tools, frameworks, and approaches that grew and developed over time. The steady advance of commercial off-the-shelf game engines such as Unreal Engine has made them a valuable option for development in immersive visualization labs. In this work, we share our experience of migrating to Unreal Engine as a primary developing environment for immersive visualization applications. We share our considerations on requirements, present use cases developed in our lab to communicate advantages and challenges experienced, discuss implications on our research and development environments, and aim to provide guidance for others within our community facing similar challenges.

  We expect the monopole signal at the lowest frequencies below 100MHz to be composed to two components: the deep Rayleigh-Jeans tail of the cosmic microwave background and two distinct features: the dark ages trough at ∼17MHz and the cosmic dawn trough at ∼75Mhz. These are hidden under orders of magnitude brighter foregrounds whose emission is approximately a power-law with a spectral index ≈−2.5. It is usually assumed that monopole signals of interest are separable from foregrounds on the basis of spectral smoothness. We argue that this is a difficult approach and likely impossible for the Dark Ages trough. Instead, we suggest that the fluctuations in the foreground emission around the sky should be used to build a model distribution of possible shapes of foregrounds, which can be used to constrain presence of a monopole signal. We implement this idea using normalizing flows and show that this technique allows for efficient unsupervised detection of the amplitude, width and center of the Dark Ages trough as well as Rayleigh-Jeans tail of the cosmic microwave background for a sufficiently sensitive experiment. We discuss the limitations of the inherent assumptions in this method and the impact on the design of future low-frequency experiments.

  The quantum-mechanical description of assemblies of particles whose motion is confined to two (or one) spatial dimensions offers many possibilities that are distinct from bosons and fermions. We call such particles anyons. The simplest anyons are parameterized by an angular phase parameter θ. θ = 0, π correspond to bosons and fermions, respectively; at intermediate values, we say that we have fractional statistics. In two dimensions, θ describes the phase acquired by the wave function as two anyons wind around one another counterclockwise. It generates a shift in the allowed values for the relative angular momentum. Composites of localized electric charge and magnetic flux associated with an abelian U(1) gauge group realize this behavior. More complex charge-flux constructions can involve nonabelian and product groups acting on a spectrum of allowed charges and fluxes, giving rise to nonabelian and mutual statistics. Interchanges of nonabelian anyons implement unitary transformations of the wave function within an emergent space of internal states. Anyons of all kinds are described by quantum field theories that include Chern–Simons terms. The crossings of one-dimensional anyons on a ring are unidirectional, such that a fractional phase θ acquired upon interchange gives rise to fractional shifts in the relative momenta between the anyons. The quasiparticle excitations of fractional quantum Hall states have long been predicted to include anyons. Recently, the anyon behavior predicted for quasiparticles in the ν = 1/3 fractional quantum Hall state has been observed in both scattering and interferometric experiments. Excitations within designed systems, notably including superconducting circuits, can exhibit anyon behavior. Such systems are being developed for possible use in quantum information processing.

  Quantized adiabatic transport can occur when a system is slowly modulated over time. In most realizations, however, the efficiency of such transport is reduced by unwanted dissipation, back-scattering, and nonadiabatic effects. In this paper, we realize a topological adiabatic pump in an electrical circuit network that supports remarkably stable and long-lasting pumping of a voltage signal. We further characterize the topology of our system by deducing the Chern number from the measured edge band structure. To achieve this, the experimental setup makes use of active circuit elements that act as time-variable voltage-controlled inductors.

  Abstract Black, air-stable crystals of the new ruthenate(V) Sr3(Ag2/3Sr1/6)RuO6 were grown in a silver ampoule using KO2 as oxidative flux. X-ray diffraction on single-crystals revealed a rhombohedral structure with the space group R c. Sr3(Ag2/3Sr1/6)RuO6 crystallizes isostructural to Sr4PtO6 in the K4CdCl6 structure type. By sharing trigonal faces, alternating [RuO6] octahedra and [(Ag2/3Sr1/6□1/6)O6 trigonal prisms form segmented chains running parallel to the crystallographic c-axis. Eightfold coordinated strontium cations are located between the rods. Regardless of the wide spatial separation of the magnetic cations (588 and 594 pm), Sr3(Ag2/3Sr1/6)RuO6 shows long-range antiferromagnetic order below the relatively high Néel temperature of 79 K in magnetic fields up to at least 9 T, as measurements of the magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity show. Despite the pseudo one-dimensional character of the structure, the characteristic of the susceptibility indicates a three-dimensional coupling of magnetic ions.

  We present a \($^31\mathrmP$\) NMR investigation of \($\mathrmBaCdVO(\mathrmPO_4)_2$\) focusing on the nearly saturated regime between \($\ensuremath\mu_0H_c1=4.05\phantom\rule0.16em0ex\mathrmT$\) and \($\ensuremath\mu_0H_c2=6.5\phantom\rule0.16em0ex\mathrmT$\), which used to be considered a promising candidate for a spin-nematic phase. NMR spectra establish the absence of any dipolar order there, whereas the weak field dependence of the magnetization above \($H_c1$\) is accounted for by Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction terms. The low-energy spin dynamics (fluctuations), measured by the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate \($T_1^\ensuremath-1$\), confirms the continuity of this phase and the absence of any low-temperature phase transition. Unexpectedly, the spin dynamics above \($H_c1$\) is largely dominated by two-magnon processes, which is expected above the saturation field of a spin-nematic phase, but not inside. This shows that \($\mathrmBaCdVO(\mathrmPO_4)_2$\) is indeed close to a spin-nematic instability; however, this phase is not stabilized. We thus confirm recent theoretical predictions that the spin-nematic phase can be stabilized, at most, in an extremely narrow field range close to saturation or is rather narrowly avoided [Jiang et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 130, 116701 (2023)].

  We demonstrate the schema and ontology matching tool COMA++. It extends our previous prototype COMA utilizing a composite approach to combine different match algorithms [3]. COMA++ implements significant improvements and offers a comprehensive infrastructure to solve large real-world match problems. It comes with a graphical interface enabling a variety of user interactions. Using a generic data representation, COMA++ uniformly supports schemas and ontologies, e.g. the powerful standard languages W3C XML Schema and OWL. COMA++ includes new approaches for ontology matching, in particular the utilization of shared taxonomies. Furthermore, different match strategies can be applied including various forms of reusing previously determined match results and a so-called fragment-based match approach which decomposes a large match problem into smaller problems. Finally, COMA++ cannot only be used to solve match problems but also to comparatively evaluate the effectiveness of different match algorithms and strategies.

  Berry phases and the related concept of Berry curvature can give rise to many unconventional phenomena in solids. Here, we discover a colossal orbital Zeeman effect of topological origin in a bilayer kagome metal, TbV6Sn6. Using spectroscopic imaging scanning tunnelling microscopy, we reveal that the magnetic field leads to a splitting of the gapped Dirac dispersion into two branches with enhanced momentum-dependent g factors, resulting in a substantial renormalization of the Dirac band. These measurements provide a direct observation of a magnetic field-controlled orbital Zeeman coupling to the orbital magnetic moments of up to 200thinspaceBohr magnetons near the gapped Dirac points. Our work provides direct insight into the momentum-dependent nature of topological orbital moments and their tunability via the magnetic field, concomitant with the evolution of the spin Berry curvature. These results can be extended to explore large orbital magnetic moments driven by the Berry curvature governed by other quantum numbers beyond spin, such as the valley in certain graphene-based structures.

  Virus discovery by genomics and metagenomics empowered studies of viromes, facilitated characterization of pathogen epidemiology, and redefined our understanding of the natural genetic diversity of viruses with profound functional and structural implications. Here we employed a data-driven virus discovery approach that directly queries unprocessed sequencing data in a highly parallelized way and involves a targeted viral genome assembly strategy in a wide range of sequence similarity. By screening more than 269,000 datasets of numerous authors from the Sequence Read Archive and using two metrics that quantitatively assess assembly quality, we discovered 40 nidoviruses from six virus families whose members infect vertebrate hosts. They form 13 and 32 putative viral subfamilies and genera, respectively, and include 11 coronaviruses with bisegmented genomes from fishes and amphibians, a giant 36.1 kilobase coronavirus genome with a duplicated spike glycoprotein (S) gene, 11 tobaniviruses and 17 additional corona-, arteri-, cremega-, nanhypo- and nangoshaviruses. Genome segmentation emerged in a single evolutionary event in the monophyletic lineage encompassing the subfamily Pitovirinae. We recovered the bisegmented genome sequences of two coronaviruses from RNA samples of 69 infected fishes and validated the presence of poly(A) tails at both segments using 3’RACE PCR and subsequent Sanger sequencing. We report a genetic linkage between accessory and structural proteins whose phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary distances are incongruent with the phylogeny of replicase proteins. We rationalize these observations in a model of inter-family S recombination involving at least five ancestral corona- and tobaniviruses of aquatic hosts. In support of this model, we describe an individual fish co-infected with members from the families Coronaviridae and Tobaniviridae. Our results expand the scale of the known extraordinary evolutionary plasticity in nidoviral genome architecture and call for revisiting fundamentals of genome expression, virus particle biology, host range and ecology of vertebrate nidoviruses.

  Antigen-specific priming of T cells results in the activation of T cells that exert effector functions by interaction of their T-cell receptor (TCR) with the corresponding self-MHC molecule presenting a peptide on the surface of a target cell. Such antigen-specific T cells potentially can also interact with peptide-MHC complexes that contain peptides from unrelated antigens, a phenomenon that often is referred to as heterologous immunity. For example, some individuals that were pre-immunized against an allergen, could subsequently mount better anti-viral T-cell responses than non-allergic individuals. So far only few peptide pairs that experimentally have been shown to provoke heterologous immunity were  identified, and available prediction tools that can identify potential candidates are imprecise. We developed the MORITS algorithm to rapidly screen large lists of peptides for sequence similarities, while giving enhanced consideration to peptide residues presented by MHC that are particularly relevant for TCR interactions. In combination with established peptide-MHC binding prediction tools, the MORITS algorithm revealed peptide similarities between the SARS-CoV-2 proteome and certain allergens. The method outperformed previously published workflows and may help to identify novel pairs of peptides that mediate heterologous immune responses.

  The ever-growing corpus of scientific literature presents significant challenges for researchers with respect to discovery, management, and annotation of relevant publications. Traditional platforms like Semantic Scholar, BibSonomy, and Zotero offer tools for literature management, but largely require manual laborious and error-prone input of tags and metadata. Here, we introduce a novel retrieval augmented generation system that leverages chat-based large language models (LLMs) to streamline and enhance the process of publication management. It provides a unified chat-based interface, enabling intuitive interactions with various backends, including Semantic Scholar, BibSonomy, and the Zotero Webscraper. It supports two main use-cases: (1) Explorative Search & Retrieval - leveraging LLMs to search for and retrieve both specific and general scientific publications, while addressing the challenges of content hallucination and data obsolescence; and (2) Cataloguing & Management - aiding in the organization of personal publication libraries, in this case BibSonomy, by automating the addition of metadata and tags, while facilitating manual edits and updates. We compare our system to different LLM models in three different settings, including a user study, and we can show its advantages in different metrics.

  Periodic temporal modulation of Hamiltonians can induce geometrical and topological phenomena in the dynamics of quantum states. Using the interference between two lasers, we demonstrate an off-resonant optical lattice for a polariton condensate with controllable potential depths and nearest-neighbour coupling strength. Temporal modulation is introduced via a gigahertz frequency detuning between pump lasers, creating a polariton `conveyor belt'. The breaking of time-reversal symmetry causes band structures to become non-reciprocal and acquire a universal tilt given by Planck's constant and the frequency of modulation (h\($\Delta$\)f). The non-reciprocal tilting is connected to the non-trivial topology of the Floquet--Bloch bands, which have a finite Chern number. Detailed characterization of the lattice potential depth and its dynamics highlights the role of high-energy carriers in the formation of optical potential landscapes for polaritons, demonstrating the possibility of modulation faster than the polariton lifetime and opening a pathway towards Floquet engineering in polariton condensates.

  We present herein the post-functionalization of doubly boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by various aryl substituents, namely the syntheses of a series of (2,8,)3,9-aryl-substituted 3,9-diboraperylenes via boron-substitution of (2,8-diaryl-)3,9-dihydroxy-3,9-diboraperylenes. These new boron-doped PAHs exhibit two reversible reductions with a remarkably facile first reduction between E = −1.04 and −1.13 V vs. Fc+/Fc. Friedel–Crafts cyclization of the 2-isopropenylnaphthyl-substituted derivative afforded a helical boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon that is endowed with a low LUMO level, high absorption coefficients and fluorescence (ΦF = 0.73), combined with a one-dimensional π–π stacking interaction in the solid state.

  Virtual humans significantly contribute to users' plausible XR experiences. However, it may be not only the congruent rendering of the virtual human but also the intermediary display technology having a significant impact on virtual humans' plausibility. In a low-immersive desktop-based and a high-immersive VR condition, participants rated realistic and abstract animated virtual humans regarding plausibility, affective appraisal, and social judgments. First, our results confirmed the factor structure of a preliminary virtual human plausibility questionnaire in VR. Further, the appearance and behavior of realistic virtual humans were overall perceived as more plausible compared to abstract virtual humans, an effect that increased with high immersion. Moreover, only for high immersion, realistic virtual humans were rated as more trustworthy and sympathetic than abstract virtual humans. Interestingly, we observed a potential uncanny valley effect for low but not for high immersion. We discuss the impact of a natural perception of anthropomorphic and realistic cues in VR and highlight the potential of immersive technology to elicit distinct effects in virtual humans.

  The ever-growing corpus of scientific literature presents significant challenges for researchers with respect to discovery, management, and annotation of relevant publications. Traditional platforms like Semantic Scholar, BibSonomy, and Zotero offer tools for literature management, but largely require manual laborious and error-prone input of tags and metadata. Here, we introduce a novel retrieval augmented generation system that leverages chat-based large language models (LLMs) to streamline and enhance the process of publication management. It provides a unified chat-based interface, enabling intuitive interactions with various backends, including Semantic Scholar, BibSonomy, and the Zotero Webscraper. It supports two main use-cases: (1) Explorative Search & Retrieval - leveraging LLMs to search for and retrieve both specific and general scientific publications, while addressing the challenges of content hallucination and data obsolescence; and (2) Cataloguing & Management - aiding in the organization of personal publication libraries, in this case BibSonomy, by automating the addition of metadata and tags, while facilitating manual edits and updates. We compare our system to different LLM models in three different settings, including a user study, and we can show its advantages in different metrics.

  Context. Gaia Data Release 3 (Gaia DR3) contains the second release of the combined radial velocities. It is based on the spectra collected during the first 34 months of the nominal mission. The longer time baseline and the improvements of the pipeline made it possible to push the processing limit from GRVS = 12 in Gaia DR2 to GRVS = 14 mag. Aims. We describe the new functionalities implemented for Gaia DR3, the quality filters applied during processing and post-processing, and the properties and performance of the published velocities. Methods. For Gaia DR3, several functionalities were upgraded or added to the spectroscopic pipeline. The calibrations were improved in order to better model the temporal evolution of the straylight and of the instrumental point spread function (PSF). The overlapped spectra, which were mostly discarded in Gaia DR2, are now handled by a dedicated module. The hot star template mismatch, which prevented publication of hot stars in Gaia DR2, is largely mitigated now, down to GRVS = 12 mag. The combined radial velocity of stars brighter than or equal to GRVS = 12 mag is calculated in the same way as in Gaia DR2, that is, as the median of the epoch radial velocity time series. The combined radial velocity of the fainter stars is measured from the average of the cross-correlation functions. Results. Gaia DR3 contains the combined radial velocities of 33 812 183 stars. With respect to Gaia DR2, the temperature interval has been expanded from Teff ∈ [3600, 6750] K to Teff ∈ [3100, 14 500] K for the bright stars (GRVS ≤ 12 mag) and [3100, 6750] K for the fainter stars. The radial velocities sample a significant part of the Milky Way: they reach a few kiloparsecs beyond the Galactic centre in the disc and up to about 10−15 kpc vertically into the inner halo. The median formal precision of the velocities is 1.3 km s−1 at GRVS = 12 and 6.4 km s−1 at GRVS = 14 mag. The velocity zeropoint exhibits a small systematic trend with magnitude that starts around GRVS = 11 mag and reaches about 400 m s−1 at GRVS = 14 mag. A correction formula is provided that can be applied to the published data. The Gaia DR3 velocity scale agrees satisfactorily with APOGEE, GALAH, GES, and RAVE; the systematic differences mostly remain below a few hundred m s−1. The properties of the radial velocities are also illustrated with specific objects: open clusters, globular clusters, and the Large Magellanic Cloud. For example, the precision of the data allows mapping the line-of-sight rotational velocities of the globular cluster 47 Tuc and of the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Methods: This is a Scoping Review which followed the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute and the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews and included: identification of the research question; bibliographic search; selection of publications; and data extraction. Results: A total of 41 from 278 publications found in eight databases in February/2021 were included in this review. The recommendations were organized into: Entry (quarantine; screening); Detention (restriction of transfers; social distancing; isolation of cases); Release (early release; house arrest; alternative correctional measures); Employees (screening; health education; removal of suspects/ confirmed); and Others (limitation of family/lawyer visits; strategies for maintaining family connections). Conclusions: The main non-pharmacological measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19 were related to the different imprisonment periods (entry, permanence and release of prisoners) and the people who maintain contact with the prison system.

Methods: Twenty human subjects (10 male and 10 female) participated in the study sessions by submerging their feet in a saline water solution while the electromagnetic water module delivered 2.5 amperes of a direct current to the solution. The study participants completed six, 30-minute sessions three days a week for two weeks for a total of six sessions. Serum blood laboratory values, 12-lead EKG, vital signs, physical exams and questionnaires were conducted with the subjects during the course of the study. Discussion: This pilot study did not reveal feasibility issues in enrolled research participants. Additional efficacy studies may be performed to further determine the value of this device with regards to clinical applications for health and wellness

  Oxytocin (OT) is a neuropeptide that plays a role in social behaviour and reproduction in humans. Non-invasive OT levels in saliva have recently piqued the interest of researchers because they do not require a specialised medical setting. We tracked OT concentration changes in one woman's basal serum and saliva OT from pregnancy to one year postpartum. We looked at how salivary OT levels changed over time in response to maternal physiological and behavioural responses. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the fluctuation of saliva OT levels is well correlated with serum OT. However, while salivary OT increased rapidly during direct interaction with the infant (social interaction tests) and/or when the mother watched her own infant's video (video tests), there was no increase in serum. To clarify these single-subject results, we used social interaction and video tests on a group of mothers (nine for social interaction and six for video testing). The mothers had increased OT in their saliva but not in their serum in both tests. Our findings suggest that salivary samples can reflect not only physical but also emotional states, and that saliva samples can be used to monitor women's OT levels during the pre- and postpartum periods.

The study was conducted in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and the data were collected from the Information System in TB. The highest occurrence of negative result among the cases that performed the test was observed among: people aged 60 or older (PR 1.53; CI95% 1.22-1.93); females (PR 1.24; CI95% 1.08- 1.41); miliary TB (PR 1.99; CI95% 1.55-2.56); X-ray image suggestive of other pathologies (PR 1.83; CI95% 1.16-2.87); non-smokers (PR 1.20; CI95% 1.03-1.39); non-alcohol users (PR 1.21; CI95% 1.03-1.42); and non-users of illicit drugs (PR 1.33; CI95% 1.15-1.53). Thus, people with these characteristics deserve more attention when they present respiratory symptoms suggestive of TB in healthcare facilities.

  Introduction: Among the active methodologies, there stands out the realistic simulation, which, while nursing teaching tool, allows reproducing aspects of nursing care, in which the student is free to repeat the scene as many times as necessary to achieve full learning. Objective: To evaluate the clinical simulation as a strategy of teachinglearning of the nursing diagnostic reasoning through the debriefing Methods: A cross-sectional study in a Public University in North eastern Brazil. The participants were forty-five students from the Nursing Undergraduate Course. Study developed at the laboratory of clinical simulation in the period from August to September 2019. Results: Five clinical scenarios were simulated. Concerning the overall reliability of the Debriefing Assessment Scale, the value of Cronbach’s alpha, in this research, was 0.903. The overall mean agreement was 4.0 points, being higher for the cognitive (4.52), psychosocial (3.97) and affective (3.84) values. Conclusion: Clinical simulation was considered an excellent strategy for the teaching-learning of nursing diagnostic reasoning, based on the high values of the items evaluated by nursing students. Simulated cases mediated by debriefing foster the construction of clinical, critical and applied reasoning.

In this context, it is done necessary an analysis of the Brazilian reality of the immunopreventable diseases, considering that PNI is a national reality, considering the campaigns against vaccination, and the fall of the vaccination coverages globally. In this context, the main objective of this manuscript will be discriminate the hospitalizations direct costs in the Unique Health System (SUS), of the immunopreventable diseases (diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, mumps, German measles, measles, hepatitis B, yellow fever, breathing syndrome for virus flu, meningococcal disease, chickenpox), through data from DATASUS website, in the period from 2008 to 2018, emphasizing the reality of the Paraná State. The occurrence of the immunopreventable diseases in a population has direct relationship with the public policies of effective immunization, the report of the vaccination coverage, and the fact that the expenses related with these diseases are potentially avoidable. Objective: to discriminate the direct costs of the hospitalizations from the immunopreventable diseases in the Unified Health System (SUS), in State of Paraná, between 2008 and 2018. A population, observational, descriptive and retrospective study, with data from the information supplied by the DATASUS website. Results: It was identified 9,307 hospitalizations from immunopreventable diseases, between 2008 and 2018; with a total of 55,463 days of permanence and 596 were registered deaths. The total direct hospitalizations costs were R\($10,652,046.02; being R$\)9,403,717.17 with hospital services costs and R$1,248,328.85 with professional services costs, mainly under one year old and in the masculine gender. Conclusions: The immunopreventable diseases presented relevant costs in State of Paraná, mainly in hospital services, in the age group covered by the Immunization Program.

  Aim and Objective: Identify plants used for insect stings in selfcare practices in the situation of suffering by people living in a rural location of Santa Maria municipality, Southern Brazil. Material and Methods: To achieve the proposed objective, there were semi-structured interviews and participant observation (N-17) in the period from 2015 to 2017. The thematic axis emerged in the content analysis to treat the material. Results and Discussion: The results show that five respondents reported using plants to treat insects or spiders’ injuries. Seven plant species from different angiosperms families were mentioned: (I) Ruta graveolens L., (II) Sida rhombifolia L., (III) Citrus × sinensis (L.) Osbeck, (IV) Plantago tomentosa Lam., (IV) Allium sativum L., (VI) Eucalyptus globulus Labill and (VII) Mirabilis jalapa L. This study revealed the popular use of herbal therapy for insect and spider stings in health care. Also, it showed the importance of knowledge and recognition of health professionals about popular knowledge for scientific advances. Final Considerations: We conclude that the self-care practices in situations of suffering refer to certain social, economic, and cultural contexts, showing the need to insert the health professional in this reality and establish a therapeutic alliance, aiming to reduce the distances between scientific and popular knowledge.

The disease is spread through inhalation or interaction with contaminated droplets and the time of incubation ranges from 2 to 14 days. The signs generally include fatigue, cough, sore throat, breathlessness, tiredness, malaise, and others. The novel coronavirus utilizes the same transmitter, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) as the one used by SARS-CoV, which spreads primarily across the airway. Importantly, there has been increasing evidence of sustained human-tohuman transmission, along with many cases exported across the globe. There are few specific antiviral strategies, but several potent antiviral and repurposed drug candidates are under urgent investigation. In this study, we outlined the recent medical advancement of COVID19's epidemiology, pathogenesis, and clinical features, and addressed new therapy and technological developments to counter the novel coronavirus outbreak.

  Objective: Dreaming about strategies that strengthen these actions of teaching-service integration in the context of multi-professional internships in health can be a way to stimulate creativity and start a journey to build collectively, based on dialog and interaction. Material and Methods: This article describes the dreams that can strengthen actions of teaching-service integration from the perspective of interns linked to a Multi-professional Health Internship Program. For this purpose, an Appreciative Inquiry was carried out with seven interns linked to a lato sensu graduate program, of the Multi-professional Health Internship type, located in a Public University in the south of Brazil. Results: Data collection was conducted in the 4D Cycle: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny, from July 2017 to April 2018, by means of discussion groups and individual interviews. Data analysis was performed according to Green, with Edgar Morin's theoretical reference. Conclusion: In order to strengthen teaching-service integration, it is necessary to agree with the health teams, managers, interns and others involved about the activities to be carried out; in addition, there are ways that the interns idealize to carry out these actions, as moments that favour interprofessional dialog among peers and promote democratic spaces for sharing knowledge.

  Oblique photogrammetry models are indispensable for implementing digital twins of cities. Geographic information system researchers have proposed plenty of methods to load and visualize these city-scaled scenes. However, when the area viewed changes quickly in real-time rendering, current methods still require excessive GPU calculation and memory occupation. In this study, we propose a data organization method in which we merged all quadtrees and used a binary encoding method to encode nodes in a merged tree so that the parent–child relationship between the tree nodes could be calculated using rapid binary operations. After that, we developed a strategy to cancel the loading of redundant nodes based on the parent–child relationship, which helped to reduce the hard disk loading time and the amount of memory occupied in visualization. Moreover, we introduced a parameter to measure the area of the triangle mesh per pixel to achieve unified data scheduling under different production standards. We implemented our method based on Unreal Engine (UE), and three experiments were designed to illustrate the advantages of our methods in index acceleration, frame time, and memory reduction. The results show that our methods can significantly improve visualization fluency and reduce memory usage.

The purpose of this research was to analyze nursing care and self-care for cutaneous leishmaniasis in Nova Olinda do Norte, Amazonas State, according to Orem’s Self-Care Theory. Material and methods: This descriptive study was carried out qualitatively in Nova Olinda do Norte (municipality). Data were obtained from semi-structured interviews and analyzed through a content analysis from Bardin’s perspective. Nursing care practices and self-care practices emerged as categories for discussion. Results: A predominance of cutaneous leishmaniasis was observed among males aged 20 to 60. Their activities included hunting, fishing, and direct contact with nature. Conclusion: The main self-care practices employed by this group were anchored in the use of natural resources to treat the disease, indicating the influence of cultural, socioeconomic, and geographic factors and inaccessibility to a daily health service.

  Introduction: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and responsible for approximately 99% of cervical cancers in the world. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a computational tool for HPV risk prediction by fuzzy logic. Material and Methods: This involves the development of a computational model using fuzzy logic tools to predict women with a greater predisposition to exposure and infection by HPV. The health, lifestyle, and sexual data of adult women were collected using a semistructured questionnaire, oncotic cytology occurred from the analysis of the vaginal smear, and DNA-HPV research was carried out through the chain reaction of the Nested polymerase (PGMY09/11 (first-round PCR) and GP + 5/GP + 6 (second round PCR) using the Platinum ™ Taq DNA Polymerase system (Invitrogen ™, NY, USA). in the literature and later these were added to the results obtained from the analysis of the participants' data to construct the calculation with the determination of the risk. Results: After the statistical analysis, the RISK set was concatenated into 3 sets (green, yellow, and red), the fuzzified data obtained as variables for availability in the risk calculator the following items: Green = [0-30%], low risk; Yellow = [31-50%], medium risk; RED = above 50%, high risk of HPV infection. os: 400 results of the epidemiological and cervical findings of the women participating in the research were used for training the software and 162 for system validation. After evidenced statistical data, the insertion of the results in the database started. Conclusion: With the results obtained Fuzzy inference system can be as well adopted for the screening for HPV as this will in turn helps to reduce the mortality rate in cases with cancer. This expert system is user-friendly and carries out screening based on patients 'complain (clinical and laboratory data) to a medical expert.

  In recent years, the computer gaming industry has become a large and important market and impressive amounts of money are spent on the development of new game engines. In contrast to their development costs, the price for the final product is very low compared to a professional 3D visualization/animation program. The idea to use this potential for other purposes than gaming seems obvious. This work gives a review on three Serious Gamingprojects, analyzes the encountered problems in a greater context and reflects the pros and cons of using game engines for scientific applications in general.

  We demonstrate the schema and ontology matching tool COMA++. It extends our previous prototype COMA utilizing a composite approach to combine different match algorithms [3]. COMA++ implements significant improvements and offers a comprehensive infrastructure to solve large real-world match problems. It comes with a graphical interface enabling a variety of user interactions. Using a generic data representation, COMA++ uniformly supports schemas and ontologies, e.g. the powerful standard languages W3C XML Schema and OWL. COMA++ includes new approaches for ontology matching, in particular the utilization of shared taxonomies. Furthermore, different match strategies can be applied including various forms of reusing previously determined match results and a so-called fragment-based match approach which decomposes a large match problem into smaller problems. Finally, COMA++ cannot only be used to solve match problems but also to comparatively evaluate the effectiveness of different match algorithms and strategies.

  A processed dietary pattern refers to behaviours that favour savoury, fried, and processed food products ces, dressings, and condiments, which have a negative effect on the individual's health with high levels of saturated fat, free sugars, sodium, and trans-fats, such as baked goods, savoury snacks, sauand can also affect infant birth weight. Changes in dietary patterns are associated with a reduction in daily calorie consumption, higher consumption of unsaturated fats, added sugar, and processed foods, and lower consumption of fruits and vegetables in Taiwan, as in other countries. This dietary pattern is concerning at all stages of life, but especially during pregnancy, when it is linked to poor maternal health and jeopardises foetal growth and development. A lack of or excess of nutrients during pregnancy can cause morbid complications for both the mother and the foetus, as well as have an impact on a child's health later in life. Studies have shown an association between maternal dietary [1-3] patterns during pregnancy and infant birth weight; however, the findings are inconsistent. According to a study conducted in northern Ghana, healthy eating patterns during pregnancy (vegetables, fruits, cereals, legumes, roots and tubers, and a few high sugar/energy snacks) protect against low birth weight.

  Bei Augmented Reality (AR) handelt es sich um eine neue Technologie, die es gestattet, in das reale Sichtfeld von Benutzern zusätzliche virtuelle Informationen einzublenden. Um neben einer reinen Technikentwicklung auch die zukünftigen Benutzer von Anfang an zu berücksichtigen, wurdeim BMBF-geförderten Leitprojekt ARVIKA die benutzerzentrierte Systemgestaltung als zentraler Bestandteil des Projektes verankert. In diesem Beitrag werden neben der Vorgehensweise beim Usability Engineering im Projekt ARVIKA erste Ergebnisse aus der Evaluationsphase der AR-Benutzerschnittstellen dargestellt. Diese zeigen, dass AR zwar große Potentiale für die Praxis aufweist, jedoch wesentliche Bestandteile der heute gängigen Interaktionskonzepte desktopbasierter Systeme hinsichtlich ihrer AR-Tauglichkeit überarbeitet bzw. vollständig neu gestaltet werden müssen.   Augmented Reality (AR) is a form of human-machine interaction where information is presented in the field of view of an individual e. g. through a head mounted display, thus augmenting his or her perception of reality. This occurs in a context-sensitive manner, i. e. in accordance with and derived from the observed object, such as a part, tool or machine, or his or her location. In this way, the real-world field of view of a skilled worker, technician or design engineer is augmented with superimposed notes to present information that is relevant to this individual. ARVIKA develops this technology or applications in the fields of design, production, and service in the automotive and aerospace industries, for power and processing plants and for machine tools and production machinery. This technology offers special dimensions for mid-sized enterprises that can leverage an improved diagnostic and maintenance competence to increase their flexibility and efficiency, thereby strengthening their global competitive position. ARVIKA is primarily designed to implement an Augmented Reality system for mobile use in industrial applications. This article presents the milestones that have been achieved after a project duration of a full two years: A basic system for Augmented Reality systems was developed based on a specially designed software architecture. Initial application-specific prototypes have been created on this basis and have been evaluated in usability tests. The solutions that can be demonstrated today indicate a good progress of the project in terms of the basic technologies such as Augmented Reality (marker-based tracking), human machine interaction as well as the AR-oriented information delivery and workflow, but they also show the challenges for further development. Significant improvements that need to be achieved during the second phase of the project include markerless tracking, the engineering e. g. of product models and AR scenes and the availability of documents that can be used in AR.

  Six topologies of dynamic Bayesian Networks are evaluated for predicting the future user events: (1) Markov Chain of order 1, (2) Hidden Markov Model, (3) autoregressive Hidden Markov Model, (4) factorial Hidden Markov Model, (5) simple hierarchical Hidden Markov Model and (6) tree structured Hidden Markov Model. Goal of the investigation is to evaluate, which of these models has the best fit for modeling the prediction of rule-based interaction behaviour for a real domain. Case study of the experiments is a multimodal user interface for supervisory control of advanced manufacturing cells. A group of experienced users were observed while executing a typical task, to build a data analysis basis for the evaluation. The results show that the number of user cases has high influence on the prediction quality and that there are no significant differences in using Markov Chain of order 1, factorial or tree structured Hidden Markov Models.

  Mehrere dynamische Bayes-Netze mit unterschiedlichen Topologien werden in Bezug auf die Modellierung von Handlungsvorhersagen evaluiert: (1) Markov-Kette erster Ordnung, (2) Hiden-Markov-Modell, (3) autoregressives Hidden-Markov-Modell, (4) faktorielles Hidden-Markov-Modell, (5) einfach-hierarchisches Hidden-Markov-Modell und (6) baumstrukturiertes Hidden-Markov-Modell. Ziel der Untersuchung ist es, mit Hilfe einer Interaktionsaufgabe die stochastischen Modelle hinsichtlich der Vorhersagegenauigkeit des regelbasierten Interaktionsverhaltens vergleichend zu bewerten. Es wird das Fallbeispiel einer multimodalen Benutzungsschnittstelle zur Steuerung einer autonomen Produktionszelle herangezogen. Um eine geeignete Datenbasis zu schaffen, wurde eine Reihe erfahrener Nutzer beobachtet, während sieeine typische Aufgabe ausführten. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Anzahl der Benutzerbeobachtungen einen hohen Einffluss auf die Vorhersagequalität hat. Bei wenigen Benutzerbeobachtungen gibt es keine signifikanten Unterschiede bei der Vorhersagegenauigkeit von Markov-Ketten erster Ordnung, faktoriellen oder baumstrukturierten Hidden-Markov-Modellen.

  Numerous experimental studies on the design of user interfaces of common desktop monitors exist, whereas empirical studies concerning the design of an Augmented Reality user interface are unknown. Therefore, recommendations relating to the optimal representation size of virtual information for an head mounted display with see through mode, which is used for Augmented Reality, cannot be given at the moment. In order to apply this new technology successfully to an industrial area, such information is urgently necessary. For this reason, three different kinds of displays were tested in this study regarding human information perception. Thus, the smallest target size necessary to provide successful information processing could be determined for different tasks. This study gives exemplary results obtained through tests with the prototype of a "Virtual Retinal Display".

  For the computer-support of knowledge-based human information processing, it is necessary to look at the representation of the information as well as designing an appropriate interface considering the ergonomics of human-computer interaction. Related to the established methodology for the design of technical systems, the cognitive model of an abstraction hierarchy was used as a framework for a task-appropriate knowledge representation in every phase of the design process. Based on a design task from the field of mechanical engineering, this concept was implemented as a software prototype. In an empirical study the practical applicability and usefulness of this concept was investigated. Trajectories of design problem solving were recorded and analyzed.

  In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden auf der Grundlage eines qualitativen Modells anästhesiologischer Entscheidungs- und Handlungsprozesse der Entwurf und die Implementierung einer ergonomischen Statusanzeige für einen intraoperativen, kardiochirurgischen Anästhesiearbeitsplatz beschrieben. Die Entwicklung eines Konzeptes ging dabei von der Analyse der Funktionen und der daraus resultierenden Aufgaben des Anästhesisten aus, um anhand derer konkrete Ansatzpunkte für Optimierungsmöglichkeiten zu identifizieren, und zwar sowohl bei der räumlich-physischen Gestaltung der Arbeitsumgebung als auch - und hier lag der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit - in bezug auf das erforderliche Daten- und Informationsmanagement.
